what is fascia
Fascia is the body-wide network of connective tissue that binds and lubricates body structure from head to toe without interruption.
Each part of the entire body is connected to every other part by the fascia.
As we age, it changes, becoming less hydrated and more rigid. This affects your mobility, strength, and overall well-being.

Myofascial release techniques
Instead of targeting specific muscles, my approach involves working with these fascial sheets. I use gentle, sustained pressure and particular movements to create traction and release tension where the fascia has become tight, stiff, or “stuck.” This helps to:
- Increase local blood flow
- Reduce muscle tone and chronic tension
- Improve your body’s overall hydration and elasticity
To optimize your treatment, I often integrate the Anatomy Trains concept, which maps out the body’s interconnected “system lines”. By addressing these larger connections, we can enhance your mobility and functionality beyond just the area of pain.
I also specialize in MER (Myofascial Energetic Release), a deep and transformative bodywork technique. MER uniquely integrates precise touch with movement, breath, and your body awareness to facilitate profound releases of physical and emotional tension. It’s about helping your body unwind and rediscover its natural freedom of movement and well-being.

FAQ
BEFORE
DURING
Be present.
This is YOUR time. You must be as comfortable as possible.
Being present in your body, the more benefits you will receive! Move your body if you need to.
This helps relieve the tension and allows the fascia to slide properly.
AFTER
Take time…Don’t be in a rush to get off the table. I always give a couple of minutes to absorb the relaxation and benefits of the session fully. This is very important and is a part of the
treatment!
BREATH
The most important work for you during the session. Very powerful. Full, natural breathing helps to facilitate the relaxation of body and mind (exhale = relax). Gentle belly breaths. Avoid holding your breath. Breathe deeply into the areas of tension being worked on.
ABOUT ME
My name is Monika, and I believe that our bodies have an incredible capacity to heal themselves. I am from Poland, where I earned my master’s degree as a Physical Education Teacher, athletic coach, and tennis, swimming, and fitness instructor. During that time, I fell in love with running and spent a lot of time competing in races ranging from 10 to 50 km. …
