MER Trondheim
Fascia and Sen (in Thai massage) are based on the concept that the body has a system of lines. If they are blocked, health problems develop. This concept is a great way to understand how the body functions and how treatment can be optimised to increase mobility and functionality.

Releasing fascia means encouraging the movement of fluids through and around connective tissues, where poor fluid movement has become an issue or results in pain presentation.

FAQ

BEFORE
Not too hungry, not too full.  Avoid eating a large meal or drinking alcohol just before the session.Drink plenty of water.  It is always a good idea to be well-hydrated, especially before a therapy session.
Be present. This is YOUR massage and your body.  You must be as comfortable as possible. Being present in your body, the more benefits you will receive! Move your body if you need to. This helps relieve the tension and allows the fascia to slide properly.
Take your time…Don't be in a rush to get off the table. I always give a couple of minutes to fully absorb the relaxation and benefits of the session. This is very important and is a part of the treatment!

The most important work for you during the session. Very powerful. Full, natural breathing helps to facilitate the relaxation of body and mind (exhale = relax). Gentle belly breaths. Avoid holding your breath. Breathe deeply into the areas of tension being worked on.
