who am i
My name is Monika, and I believe that our bodies have an incredible capacity to heal themselves. I am from Poland, where I earned my master’s degree as a Physical Education Teacher, athletic coach, and tennis, swimming, and fitness instructor. During that time, I fell in love with running and spent a lot of time competing in races ranging from 10 to 50 km.
However, unexpectedly, I had to start a new chapter in London. Spending nearly 3 years in this amazing, busy, and crazy city taught me that everything happens for a reason. I had no time for running, and there I began working as a massage therapist and personal coach.
my experience
My big, big love is Thailand. Culture, food, people, nature… During 5 years of living in Chiang Mai, I became an Ultra-Runner, yoga teacher and Thai massage therapist. My students (I was a teacher) taught me life is now, it is this moment!!!
Once again, unexpectedly, I found myself in Thailand, specifically Chiang Mai, which became my home for 5 years. I immediately fell in love with Thai food, culture, people, and nature. Running became a daily habit, and I eventually became an ultra trail runner, extending my competition distance to 75 km. When I developed inflammation in my Achilles, I decided to join my first yoga class. I was fortunate to discover a beautiful community with yoga teachers who offered free classes in the park. Without hesitation, I completed 200 hours of Yoga Teacher Training and then pursued a 550-hour Yoga Therapist Diploma. To further expand my knowledge of bodywork, I enrolled in the International Training Massage School in Chiang Mai, where I learned Therapeutic Nuad Bo-Rarn Thai Massage from wonderful Thai teachers. All of these experiences took place in Thailand, a country that has always held a special place in my heart.
Now I am in Norway. For one year, I performed 2500 massages at a clinic in Stavanger. During that time, I encountered MER (in Denmark), a massage technique that transformed my approach to bodywork. I am still exploring and seeking to understand the connection between fascia, movement, and breath. Additionally, I have discovered an interest in facial therapy. The connection between the body and mind continues to fascinate me, and I believe that the learning process will be ongoing.
