ABOUT ME

ABOUT ME

“It always seems impossible until it is done.”

who i am

My name is Monika and I believe our body has an incredible capacity to heal itself. I am from Poland where I earned my master’s degree as a Physical Education Teacher, athletic coach and tennis, swimming, and fitness instructor. At that time I fell in love with running and spent a lot of time running competitions from 10 to 50 km. Then unexpectedly I had to open my new chapter in London. Almost 3 years in this amazing, busy and crazy city taught me that everything happens for some reason. No running, no time for myself. There I start working as a massage therapist and personal coach.
I am a woman (50), a mum, a bodyworker, a yoga therapist, a physical education teacher, a runner and a lover of nature. I am from Poland. I worked as a physical/health education teacher, manager of education and an athletic coach for many years in Poland, England, Thailand and now in Norway.

London always will be in my heart. My new life chapter starts there. It was a tough time with a lot of difficult decisions. Almost 3 years in this amazing, crazy and expansive city taught me that everything happens for some reason!!!

My big, big love is  Thailand.  Culture, food, people, nature…  During 5 years of living in Chiang Mai, I became an Ultra-Runner, yoga teacher and Thai massage therapist. My students (I was a teacher) taught me life is now, it is this moment!!!
And again unexpectedly I moved myself…to Thailand. Chiang Mai was my home for 5 years. I fell in love immediately with Thai food, culture, people, and nature. Running became my daily habit. I became an ultra trail runner extending my distance of competition to 75km. Inflammation of my Achilles pushed me to join my first yoga class. There is a beautiful community with yoga teachers who give the classes for free in the park. After that without a doubt, I took 200 hours of Yoga Teacher Training and then 550 hours of Yoga Therapist Diploma. To extend my knowledge of bodywork I attended to International Training Massage School in Chiang Mai where wonderful Thai teachers taught me Therapeutic Nuad Bo-Rarn Thai Massage. All this happened in Thailand, the country which always stayed in my heart!

Once again, unexpectedly, I found myself in Thailand, specifically Chiang Mai, which became my home for 5 years. I immediately fell in love with Thai food, culture, people, and nature. Running became a daily habit, and I eventually became an ultra trail runner, extending my competition distance to 75 km. When I developed inflammation in my Achilles, I decided to join my first yoga class. I was fortunate to discover a beautiful community with yoga teachers who offered free classes in the park. Without hesitation, I completed 200 hours of Yoga Teacher Training and then pursued a 550-hour Yoga Therapist Diploma. To further expand my knowledge of bodywork, I enrolled in the International Training Massage School in Chiang Mai, where I learned Therapeutic Nuad Bo-Rarn Thai Massage from wonderful Thai teachers. All of these experiences took place in Thailand, a country that has always held a special place in my heart.

Now I am in Norway. For one year, I performed 2500 massages at a clinic in Stavanger. During that time, I encountered MER (in Denmark), a massage technique that transformed my approach to bodywork. I am still exploring and seeking to understand the connection between fascia, movement, and breath. Additionally, I have discovered an interest in facial therapy. The connection between the body and mind continues to fascinate me, and I believe that the learning process will be ongoing.
